Biography of Bishop Stanley B. Searcy, Sr.

Bishop Stanley B. Searcy, Sr. a native of St. Louis, Missouri, who grew up in Natchez, Mississippi has committed his life to ministering to people from all walks of life. He ministers to all regardless of their background, race, social or economic status. His innate desire it to bring forth the full potential of an individual by reaching the total man. Having been in ministry for over 25 years now, Bishop Searcy keeps Luke 16:12 always in focus, which says, ‘if you have not been faithful over that, which is another man’s who will give you your own?’

Bishop Searcy along with his wife Brenda began full-time ministry in 1993 through cell groups, going house to house. In 1994 after moving back from Mobile, Alabama, they started bible studies in the Natchez, Fayette, and Vicksburg, Mississippi areas. In 1995 until 1998 they hosted the first live radio broadcast on WTYJ-97.7 in Natchez, MS.

On January 26, 1997, Bishop Searcy and his wife founded the New Hope M.B. Church: The Vision Center. On February 9, 1997 he assumed the position of Senior Pastor and his wife as Co-Pastor. Under their leadership, New Hope has been blessed in every area of ministry. To accommodate the increasing growth in attendance, an additional evening service was added. After four years of increase, he was led to build a new facility to accommodate 1800-2500 people. After trusting God, much hard work, and many hours of prayer the new sanctuary was completed for worship on March 23, 2003.

Bishop Searcy realizes the importance of having a spiritual covering, and under the leading of the Holy Spirit he has submitted under the covering of Bishop I.V. & Lady Bridget Hilliard of New Light Christian Center in Houston, TX. Bishop Searcy established a network of churches here in the United States, India, and Africa, called the International Kingdom Covenant Churches, otherwise known as IKCC. His work was recognized on a national level and a group of national and international pastors of The International Communion of Charismatic Churches, ordained him as Bishop.

New Hope and Bishop Searcy are highly focused on meeting the needs of their surrounding community through providing ministry and services that impact every area of life. His commitment exceeds the walls of the local arena and is extended internationally as well.

As he faithfully serves, Bishop is daily reminded of when Mary the mother of Jesus told the servants at the marriage of Cana, ‘Whatsoever he saith unto you, do it.’ (John 2:5) That phrase is the motto for his life, ‘I will do whatever he says, at any cost.’
