Pastor Jacarra Michael Williams was born on March 21,1988 in Tuscaloosa, Alabama to the late Clifford Mickens and Rosemary Williams. Pastor Williams has seven brothers and sisters; Keith, Chuck, Michael, Geraldine , Brittany, Teresa, and Jerome. He moved to Fort Wayne, Indiana in the fall of 1991, following the unexpected death of his mother, Rosemary. Where he was raised by his great-grandparents Charlie and Dorothy Williams. He began his faithful servanthood to God and to the church at an early age by joining the Usher board & Music ministry at his home church, True Love Missionary Baptist Church, under the leadership of the late Rev. Jesse White.
Pastor Williams continued his ministry journey by moving his membership to New Horizon Baptist Church in February 2003, under the leadership of Pastor Keion D. Henderson. Pastor Williams preached his first sermon entitled “The Benefits of A Good Shepherd" (Psalms 23) in May 2004. He was licensed on April 26th, 2006 by Pastor Keion D. Henderson. He instantly became active and dedicated to ministry, serving as the Associate Pastor, Youth Pastor, and leading the New Members Impact Class at the New Horizon Baptist Church.
Furthering his journey, he moved his membership to serve at the Mount Calvary Missionary Baptist Church in September 2011, under the leadership of the late Rev. Mike Nickelson, where he served faithfully as the Assistant to the Pastor. He attended Taylor University of Fort Wayne, Indiana where he was the Vice President of Student Relations and a student mentor. Pastor Williams attended Trinity Bible College and Seminary in Newburgh, Indiana, where he obtained a Bachelors of Arts in Practical Ministry. He currently attends Liberty University pursuing a Bachelors of Science Degree in Christian Leadership and Management.
On Monday, April 11, 2016 Pastor Williams was appointed to serve as the seventh pastor of the New Hope Missionary Baptist Church of Michigan City, Indiana. "The City of Hope"
On August 29, 2014, he married the love of his life, Lady Tahquai-Alyce Williams, one of the most cherished moments of his life. She is a tremendous part of our ministry as she serves as the youth choir director of "New Generation", leads our women's ministry known as L.O.V (Ladies of Victory), serves as the head of our Deaconess ministry, and serves in various areas of our District and our State conventions.
